Appointments

We now offer a range of appointments for booking on-line.  Please visit our reception to obtain a username and password.

Routine Appointments

Please telephone 0115 9657801. Online booking will be available soon here.

You will be offered the next available appointment with your doctor or, if this is not acceptable you will be offered an alternative appointment with the GP Registrar or one of the other doctors.

Routine appointments are allocated 10 minutes of time.
If you feel that you only need to talk to a doctor then please ask for a telephone appointment.

Urgent Appointments

The practice offers a doctor led telephone triage service for urgent appointments. If you consider that you need to be seen the same day please call the practice before 10.00. You will be asked for a contact telephone number and a brief reason for your request.

Please ensure that you are available on that number to receive the doctor’s call. The doctor cannot keep on trying to contact you if your phone is engaged or unobtainable. The doctor will then discuss with you the problem in more detail and if the doctor considers that you need to be seen you will be offered an appointment for later that day.

Evening Surgeries

These are for patients who have suddenly become ill or who are at work or school. If you do not fall into one of these categories please book into the weekday morning surgeries.

Home Visits

Please try and come to the surgery whenever possible where the doctor will have better facilities and equipment to examine and treat you.

To request a home visit, please telephone 0115 9652294 (before 10.00am if possible). Normally the doctor will ring back to take more details.

Cancellations

If you cannot keep your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can give this time to another patient.

Late Arrivals

Appointments are booked at 10 minute intervals. If you arrive late we cannot guarantee that you will be seen.
We aim to see you at your appointed time but please be patient, delays can happen, usually due to emergencies.

If you would like a chaperone to be present whilst you are examined by the doctor, please ask reception on booking your appointment
