There is a computer-printed
counterfoil attached to your prescription which
you should use to re-order repeat medication.
Please tick all the items that you need
and cross out those that you do not. Then
post the list in the box in the reception area
or in the post box outside when we are closed.
If you cannot visit the surgery the request may
be posted to us, but please allow extra time.
Once received in surgery it may take two
working days to process your script. Please do
not expect it to be ready sooner.
(This time is needed because it is not always
simply a matter of printing and signing a
script. We need time to check that you have had
appropriate reviews and monitoring to ensure
continued safe prescribing). You may find
attached to your prescription a note asking you
to attend for bloods or to see the nurse or
doctor. You should make an appointment at your
earliest convenience and ideally before your
next repeat prescription is due.
Hospital prescriptions should be presented to
the hospital pharmacy and not to surgery.
We are sorry but we cannot accept telephone
requests.
The Dispensary
Patients who live more than a mile from the
Calverton Shopping Precinct adjacent to the
surgery may have their medicines dispensed at
the practice dispensary. (This distance is
set by law). The counter is situated in the main
ground floor waiting room.
If you are entitled to free prescriptions you
will need to bring proof when collecting your
medicines.
There is a collection and delivery service for
medicines and repeat prescriptions for certain
patients to one of the shops in each of the
outlying villages. The dispensary can supply you
with details.
For non-dispensing patients we can arrange for
your prescription to go straight to Burrows and
Close in St Wilfrid’s Square which saves you a
trip to drop of the prescription request and
helps the chemist offer a smoother service with
less waiting. If you wish to use this service
ask at reception.
