Teaching and Training

Qualified doctors from the Nottingham Vocational Training Scheme spend periods of four to twelve months gaining experience in general practice. Video recording consultations is an important training tool and you may be asked for permission to video your consultation. You will be advised if recording is scheduled for your consultation and your consent sought. You have the right to opt out.

Medical students regularly attend the practice and sit in with doctors during consultations. If you would rather see your GP without a student then please tell either a receptionist or your doctor.

Occasionally we participate in research projects. If anything to do with research would involve you personally you will be contacted to see if you are willing to take part. You will not be identified in any published results without your agreement.

The nursing team also takes part in teaching and training nursing students.
